Gunung Papandayan
After a week of productive workshops the THROUGHFLOW team took an excursion to the Papandayan Volcano a few hours to the South of Bandung. The volcano last erupted explosively in 2002, and now consists of a number of smaller craters. Sulfur-rich smoke and steam billows from numerous small vents, and small mud pools bubble as gas trapped beneath the surface escapes. All of the ESR's and staff members had a great day out and appreciated the chance to visit an active volcano. Many thanks to Fauzie Hasibuan for organising the trip!
